#1 in Attracting College Graduates
Greater Phoenix has attracted college-educated, single people between the ages of 25 and 39 at a higher rate than all other cities in the U.S., according to The Wall Street Journal.

Top Large Metro and County for Recruitment and Attraction
Greater Phoenix topped large metro areas as the best place for recruitment and attraction, according to Expansion Management magazine. The magazine also named Maricopa County the No. 4 top county for recruitment and attraction.

Top 10 Best States for Business
Arizona claimed a spot in the top 10 in a study of the nation’s best states for doing business by Development Counsellors International.

#3 State for Cost of Labor
Business Facilities ranked Arizona third in terms of cost of labor, based on unionization rates, unemployment insurance, tax rates, worker’s compensation premium rates, average hourly pay in manufacturing, average annual pay in the private sector, and the annual cost of health coverage.

Going Green
Arizona was ranked the 8th Greenest State in Business Facilities’ 2008 Ranking Report. The ranking is based on nine eco-related criteria including incentives for renewable energy and energy efficiency, and pounds of pollution released.
